"Blind Justice, Nazi Military Court Entrance"

Scores of men and women who were hustled into the Nazi military court building beneath this German eagle were summarily tried and sentenced to death.  Whether any were sent before or after to Sachsenhausen, the concentration camp located on the outskirts of Berlin that included a military jail, I have not confirmed, though it would be unsurprising.

Carved on the lintel just below this imposing frieze was the countenance of blindly impartial lady Justice, her eyes covered by wrappings that looked like nothing so much as a blindfold on a victim standing before a firing squad.
