During Roman times, an estimated 70,000 individuals were slaughtered in the Coliseum to thrill attendees. Of course, that was then.



Games simulate warfare and manufacture glory for mass consumption.  Two billion people worldwide avidly follow team sports and celebrate victories as though these were their own.
