"Casing Borealis" by Hunter Madsen

"Casing Borealis"

This is elaborate veining on the rusted underside of a very large conduit channeling lake water run-off into a nearby fjord, an unlyrical sight that would not win much attention from viewers.  So colors have been shifted slightly here to create the enjoyable illusion of night sky and northern lights.  Some would say that, most of the time, we see only what we want to see, life being altogether too short and abstruse to squander on anything less than yearning and astonishment.
