"Piano Rolls of Rust"
A sense of engagement with fresh beauty can come sometimes from viewing images whose internal complexity poses a fascinating interpretive puzzle to the eye. This image, and the "Escher's Breakdown" image that follows in this gallery, are constructed around the appeals of visual complexity. If these images strike the viewer as being somehow more tactile than usual, it might be because the brain is working harder here to discern the spacial dimensions of these metal collisions by imagining how they might feel by means of touch.
