Painting "Red Field (after Monet)" by Hunter Madsen

"Red Field (after Monet)"

Claude Monet (1840-1926) finished his pleasant countryside painting, "Poppies," in 1873.  The canvas, which depicts his wife Camille and son Jean making their carefree way across a field near Argenteuil, France, has been a top-seller ever since the advent of low-cost printing techniques and college dorm walls in cinder-block. Here I have endeavoured to entice the poster manufacturers at Art.com and thereby fund the rest of my career by outperforming Monet's painting handily in terms of sangfroid and absolute poppy count. (Note: this image was originally a snapshot of daisies - so ordinary.)
